Justice V. M. Kanade was born on 22ndJune 1955. He had started practising in the High Court, Bombay in June, 1979. He appeared in civil, criminal and constitutional cases. He had worked as Assistant Government Pleader in Writ Cell, High Court from 1988 to 1990, and Panel Counsel for Union of India from 1986 to 1989. He worked as A Panel Counsel for State of Maharashtra from 1992 to 2000. He was also a part time lecturer in New Law College, Mumbai from 1985 to 1991 and visiting Professor, Department of Law, University of Mumbai from 1992 to 1995.
He was elevated as High Court Judge on 12th October,2001 and appointed as a Judge of the Special Court (Trial of Offences Relating to Transaction in Securities) Act, 1992 on 1st February,2006. He retired on 21st June,2017.
